Each year in October and May, the Barbarians — together with our incredible partners at Cape to Cape Explorer Tours — ‘A walk for a reason’. A group of eager hikers are picked up in Perth and transported to Margaret River, ready to experience one of the most breathtaking stretches of coastline in Western Australia.

From the moment they arrive, they’re part of something special. Every trekker receives a Barbarians T‑shirt, becomes part of a supportive team, and is guided along the Cape to Cape Track by experts who know every story, every lookout, and every hidden gem. Along the way, the guides capture photos of the journey — the laughter, the challenge, the views, the friendships — and at the end, each participant is gifted a beautiful photo booklet to remember their adventure.

But the magic doesn’t stop on the track. Each trekker is given their own fundraising link to share on socials, inviting friends and family to support mental health and suicide prevention in our WA community. Every step taken, every dollar raised, and every story shared helps us reach more people who need support.

It’s meaningful. It’s memorable. And it’s a chance to walk with purpose in one of the most stunning places on earth.

Your Journey

It begins with a Perth pick‑up by Cape‑to‑Cape Explorer Tours, who will transport you to Cape Leeuwin to sign in and begin your trek. You’ll walk through to Caves House for a well‑earned dinner, before being taken to your comfortable accommodation for the week, complete with a cosy bed and private ensuite.

Each morning you’ll be taken back to the exact spot you left, ready to continue the next section of the track with a new guide who brings fresh insight and knowledge.

The experience is fully catered, with all meals included across several local venues. Alcohol and personal spending money are the only exclusions. On Saturday, the day your journey with Cape‑to‑Cape concludes, you’ll stop in at the local farmers market before beginning your trip back to Perth.
